Today I spent the morning researching Johnny Depp's persona and how this effects the roles he gets but I soon found there wasn't information about this, so this has made me change my idea slightly. I began researching the Tim Burton/Johnny Depp working relationship and i found much more resourses to use. I have printed and highlighted the key information which will be used in my final piece.

i have also read the book Johnny Depp. it did have so good information but it was mostly information that wasn't any use to me. I am trying to track down the book Salisbury, Mark. "Burton on Burton". United Kingdom: Mackays of Charham. 1995; as it has been referanced to be very helpful with the johnny depp link.
Hi Sam...you may be able to get the 'Burton on Burton' book from Bournemouth or Poole public libraries...its normally the sort of thing they might carry. Or I have seen it going for about £2.50 on Amazon UK, if that helps?
ReplyDeleteYou will need to come up with a statement by next week, so maybe something along the lines of Burton as auteur, using Depp as the representation of his 'fantasies'...something along those lines, maybe? Then identify your three films if possible. :)
